Carrie has been a dedicated member, and we have watched her grow through yoga, and now barre and cycle as she became a Rebel with us! Carrie lights up a room as soon as she walks through the door and is literally friends with every single person that has ever met her acquaintance. We are grateful that we did and absolutely love having Carrie as one of our Tribe!
Carrie, thank you for being dedicated, working hard, and having fun with your practice and rides.
CARRIE IS AWESOME! BE LIKE CARRIE!!!!!
Below is a "quicky" Q&A that Carrie did for us to share her experience as a Rebel!
How long have you been a Rebel?
About 3.5 years. I joined in February 2014, after completing the Yoga Basics course with my bestie. I totally fell in love with yoga!
What does your regular routine at Rebel Studio look like?
- * Monday – Rebel Ride (sometimes, if I need a break, I take Suzanne’s Rebel Relax – and leave feeling like I just had a massage!)·
- Tuesday – Power, then Rebel Relax·
- Wednesday – Rebel Ride Express, then Barre·
- Thursday – Rebel Ride, then Power Up/Down·
- Friday – My “rest” day·
- Saturday – Power Hour·
- Sunday – Rebel Ride
What are your favorite classes at Rebel Studio?
Tuesday night’s Yoga Double Dip! I love leaving power feeling stronger (and sweatier!) than ever and following that up with a relax flow. 2 hours of yoga with some of my favorite people = my happy place!
What motivates you to stay on Track?
That post-namaste “high”! I have always struggled with my weight and never been into sports or working out – like at all. I hated it. But finding yoga (and now spin) has truly changed my life. I look forward to my class ALL day and when I have to miss a class, I am legit bummed out. I surprise myself each week with my strength and balance. I love leaving the studio feeling like a warrior!
What is your greatest health and fitness achievement?
My biggest achievement is me showing up – pretty much every day ending in ‘y’. This is huge for me!
What goal keeps you motivated to show up at the Rebel regularly?
My goal right now is to always put myself first. I have not consistently done that in the past, and I have paid the mental and physical price. I choose to make time for me!
What are your favorite instructor Tag lines?!
Kelly: “You can do anything for 30 seconds!”
Andrea: “This is not your recovery song! Now push!”
What is your favorite and least favorite yoga Pose?
Favorite: Just one?! Utkatasana (Chair), Supta Baddha Konasana (Reclined Bound Angle), Malasana (Garland), Prasarita Padottanasana (Wide Legged Forward Fold)
Least Favorite: Dhanurasana (Bow), Supta Virasana (Reclined Hero)
What is your favorite song to RIDE to?
Move, Shake, Drop; BURNITUP!; Hollaback Girl
